The Maine chapter of the American Lung Association is hosting a ride around Maine. On June 14-16, 2024 it is a 180 mile ride with overnights in Lewiston (Bates College) and Standish ( St. Joseph College).
Kathy and I are again joining the effort to publicize the need for clean air policies, reduce lung cancer rates and raise money to further those policies.
For over ten years, we have had fun and rewarding experiences participating in the Trek. We have enjoyed the wonderful connection between riding across our beautiful State and raising dollars for the American Lung Association. I ride with the McPhed Trekkers. Dave McPhedran was our daughter, Jessica’s high school advisor, who we lost in an avalanche on Mt. Washington. His adventurist spirit rides with us as we cross the State,
Yes, I am not getting any younger. I have been am extremely fortunate that I have stayed pretty healthy. Please consider donating to the Trek. You will be supporting the critical work of the American Lung Association and helping me get up the next hill.
