Sorry if any of you saw my original Facebook plea, FB posted it before I updated it!
Anyway, I'm recovering from my shoulder surgery quite nicely, but the ride will be hard. I'm in pretty tough physical shape. People have said, "Oh, just don't do it this year, there's always next year." They don't understand what this ride means to me. I started it the year after my mom died and have done it every year since. It's more than just a charity ride for me, it helped me get through the loss of my mom and more recently my brother, by trying to raise awareness for the number one cancer killer, Lung Cancer.
This will be my 9th Trek! Over the years, you helped me raise thousands of dollars for the American Lung Association to help keep our air clean and our lungs clear. I hope you can support me again this year.
This year marks the 33 since my dad passed and 9 since my mom, both of lung cancer.
Please consider donating, I know we all have our favorite charities and funds are limited but anything is a help!
Enjoy the day,
