The 2023 trek across Maine will be my thirteenth year doing the Trek Across Maine! The trek across Maine raises money for the American Lung Association which is a cause I think we can all stand behind. Donations made to my trek fund go to a lot of great programs and helping to pass laws for better air quaility and making it harder for people to start smoking and easier for this who do smoke to quit.  

I ride for many reasons, because I love riding bikes is one but there are many more. The trek is my way to help raise money and awareness for healthy air and anti smoking campaigns. As a teenager I thought smoking was cool. I soon realized it was stupid and quit. But even doing it for a short period of time it was difficult to quit, the American lung association helps people quit smoking. But they also help people never start.
