Imagine if we were able to find a cure for Lung Cancer or be able to9 have clean fresh air to breath. Well I do that every day which is why I've signed up again for the American Lung Association Trek Across Maine, Father's Day weekend, June 14-16, 2019. Having had to skip a couple of years I will be riding on this wonderful adventure again this year. As you know, all funds raised in this bicycle journey across Maine go to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
I'm all too familiar with the ravages of lung disease, taking someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. I'm told that this illness is growing faster than almost any other major illness. Lung cancer, asthma and emphysema combined make up the third leading cause of deaths in the United States.
And then there are all the ways that the Lung Association works to reduce teen smoking and keep our beautiful Maine air clean and ready for the next generations. I'm hooked and welcome any of you to join me on the ride. Right now, I need your support! As a further statement of my commitment I have pledged over $900 to the Trek via the United Way as a way to put my money where my bike is.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for your donation. On line credit card donations are very easy and secure. I like to help the Lung Association by having all my pledges collected before I ride -- that saves a lot of office time and administration.
With deepest thanks,
