Hello Everyone!
In 2019, I participated in the American Lung Association's Annual 180 mile (3 day) Trek Across Maine bike event in my home state of Maine. Although it rained for 2-1/2 days of the event, it was an incredible journey involving lots of training and the satisfaction of completing the trek without injuries. Fast forward 15 years and I will be participating again, as part of the Reelz STEM Girls Team who are my daughter, dear friend and cousin - we are engineers, environmental scientist and a doctor.
I'm looking forward to the challenge and joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States. Funds raised from the Trek will help to raise awareness and protect lung health for a range of conditions.

I greatly appreciate all the support, and thank you in advance for any contribution you can make for your tax-deductible gift to support this year's ride.
