I want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past and to invite anyone interested in donating to the Lung Association to please do so. It is greatly appreciated!! My son Eric and I will once again join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association in what is now the 2nd "VIRTUAL" Trek across Maine, while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we will not be having the physical Trek, but instead each participant can ride their bikes locally and track their mileage, thus the "VIRTUAL" Trek. It will be my 25th year, and my son's 21st year riding in the Trek and supporting the American Lung Association. We are also glad to have my brother Matt riding the Trek with us again this year. He has become a regular over the past ten years. We are riding in memory of our mom, who was taken from us by lung cancer in 1996. We will all miss the camradery of the actual Trek weekend and look forward to things hopefully getting back to normal next year. In the meantime, it is very important that we continue to support the good work of the American Lung Association of Maine.
Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
I hope that you can join me in my effort to make a difference by supporting this worthy cause. Please help me to reach my goal by making a tax-deductible donation to the American Lung Association of Maine. Any amount that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for you support. It truly means a lot!!
Sincerely,
Evan
