I want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past and let you know that this June, my son Eric and I will once again join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a (virtual) journey across Maine while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. This year will be very different from past years due to covid-19 and social distancing, the Lung Association has made this a virtual Trek.We will ride our bikes approximately 180 miles over the next month to raise money for the ALAM. It will be my 24th year, and my son's 20th year riding in the Trek and supporting the American Lung Association. We are also glad to have my brother Matt riding the Trek with us again this year. He has become a regular over the past nine years. We are riding in memory of our mom, who was taken from us by lung cancer in 1996.
Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
I hope that you can join me in my effort to make a difference by supporting this worthy cause. Please help me to reach my goal by making a tax-deductible donation to the American Lung Association of Maine. Any amount that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for you support. It truly means a lot!! We will certainly miss the fun and comraderie of the actual Trek Across Maine this year, but still want to be involved in the virtual event & raise money for this great cause.
