Mikey and Trina will be riding with us this year in memory of their Nana!
Every year since 2005, at least one of us has done this ride with the American Lung Association to raise money for lung disease. We are excited our kids are now joining us on this journey.
We will all ride our bikes 100 miles on September 24th and 25th through Cape Cod to benefit the American Lung Association in Carol's memory (Ken's mom) and in honor of all the fighters who live with some kind of lung disease. We lost Carol in February 2020 after a long fight against lung cancer. She was our faithful supporter and cheerleader throughout our years doing this ride. She believed in the work of the American Lung Association and was able to benefit from some of their programs as she battled lung cancer in her last years. Her immunotherapy allowed her to live her last two years with stage four with fewer side effects while enjoying her family and living a relatively normal life.
Lung disease kills more people yearly than any other disease. You can help by donating to help fund programs and research to continue to fight lung disease. Eighty-nine cents of every dollar goes to program services that support those affected by lung disease.
We believe wholeheartedly in the work of ALA, their research and advances, and their programs. Lung disease affects our family regularly as our kids, Vicky, and other close family members struggle with asthma and depend on inhalers for physical activity or during sickness and allergy seasons.
Please join us in our efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. Your donation helps save lives!
We thank you for your continued support and joining us on this journey. It wouldn't be possible without all of your generous support- with either donations or cheering us on!
