It's hard to believe that I've ridden 25 years in the Trek Across Maine!
In spite of the coronavirus pandemic, I am still planning to train as usual and ride the Trek Across Maine again this June. The Trek will be virtual, meaning that all Trekkers set a personal goal for the Trek and ride to that goal individually. My commitment is to ride the full 180 miles on the Father's Day weekend.
I will join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association as we journey around Maine to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other type of major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema, is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
We don't just enjoy the ride, wedo it to raise donations for the American Lung Association's work. Because this is my 26th Trek, my goal is to raise $2,600 in donations to the Lung Association to support my ride. I hope you will make a donation to join me in my efforts to make a difference for Lung Health.
Thank you in advance for your support!
