My journey is deeply personal—I lost my mother to lung disease when I was just six years old, leaving a profound void in my life. Her struggle for breath in her final days ignited a determination within me to help others facing similar battles.
Years later, I found myself in Maine as a boat-building apprentice at the Carpenter’s Boat Shop. I quickly fell in love with the state's breathtaking landscapes. The upcoming fundraising ride here means a lot to me because it combines my love for this place with my desire to make a difference.
Cycling, which I discovered only recently, has opened up a new way to explore Maine and has given me a unique platform to support a cause that is very close to my heart. Inspired daily by my mother's memory, this ride is a tribute to her and an effort to raise awareness about lung disease.
Joining the Trek Across Maine on Father’s Day weekend, I invite you to contribute to my fundraising goal. Your support means the world to me and to those fighting lung disease!
