I am joining this mission in ode to my Comrades in the Armed Forces. I am a retired Career Army Combat Medic. My late Uncle Mark served in the U.S Navy and my late Uncle Jeff served in the Airforce. We all completed our careers with multiple health concerns.
Uncle Mark had severe COPD and Uncle Jeff died of a heart attack. They were in their 50's. I had two total knee replacements this past year at ages 43 and 44. I am currently 17 months post operative on my right knee and 5 months post operative on my left knee.
Rest in Peace Uncle Mark and Uncle Jeff. After over a decade plus of having horribly damaged knees, I have the opportunity to be of service again. I am riding for the purpose of love; Love of my Family and my Country. Thank you, American Lung Association, Volunteers and Participants. The generosity of donations to this mission warms my Spirit and give me the opportunity to serve and train in my community.
*I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for you support!
