Since our inception, the Trek Across Maine has been a staple programming opportunity for kids and volunteers of the CBC. Thanks to the support of so many caring volunteers and staff (both past and present), every June presents an unforgettable experience to cycle the 180-mile coast-to-coast (Maine that is) with some really awesome people from all over the U.S. and beyond.
For us, it's more than just a fundraiser! Yes, we love the idea of supporting all the incredible work that the American Lung Association does. And yes, a lot of that work directly affects many of the kids and families that we work with. But for many, the Trek presents an opportunity to accomplish something so much larger than themselves. Our youth get to experience parts of the state that many of their peers didn’t know existed. For 3-days in June, they are surrounded by good people who encourage, support, and celebrate their accomplishment.
