We all know there's strength in numbers, so we'll ride together fighting lung disease and increasing awareness about the importance of lung health. We each have our reasons for participating – whether it's a personal fight with lung disease, the struggle or loss of a loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause.

RIDING

We typically have a century group and a metric century group. Contact team captain Lynn Blanchard at Newsletter@PortlandBicyclingClub.com if you’re interested in a shorter distance. Each group will agree on a start time, meet at their start location for a group photo, start out riding together and eventually settle into subgroups of different paces, then riders have the option to meet again at the finish line. Mark Detrick and Cary Fisher are offering training rides from March 2 through May 11. We've each made a big commitment. We'll spend the next few months training to prepare for our ride, and each team member is required to raise at least $200 in donations.
