Thousands of cyclists are taking up the Clean Air Challenge to help the American Lung Association (ALA) to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. In Alaska the team I am on is riding 100 miles to raise funding and support the ALA.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
The ALA has been raising money to support research into lung diseases for years. Now they are also supporting research on Covid. Those are two really good reasons I am riding to support them and those who suffer lung disease and Covid.
It is likely that everyone knows someone who died, was hospitalized and survived, or who has long Covid. Together we can make a difference and help support finding ways to mitigate the effects of lung disease and Covid.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for you support!
