I’m once again participating in the upcoming Clean Air Challenge/Cycle for Air in beautiful Talkeetna, Alaska! This year’s ride is on Saturday, May 9th, and I’ll join Team Matson in our quest covering up to 100 miles. Last year I rode 60 (in the rain), and this year I plan to do the same if not more. I’ll also be joined this year by my son, who marks his first trip up to Alaska in style. He and I will be riding 6 days earlier in the NYC Bike Tour, covering the five (5) boroughs of NYC (40 miles), where it also rained last year! Once again, Matson is the Presenting Sponsor of the American Lung Association 2020 Clean Air Challenge/Cycle for Air!
I was happy to participate last year and VERY thankful of the many contributions I received totaling close to $2500! This year, I ‘ve again set a goal of $1000 and I would really appreciate your support in my fundraising efforts. I am riding to represent all those who suffer from lung disease, especially those who are close to my heart. You can support me in my efforts just by donating. Your generosity would mean a lot to all those who benefit from the work of the American Lung Association.
Lung disease can take someone’s breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of death in the United States. Your donations would help fund research and provide education and advocacy efforts. One pedal at a time, you can help me ride for a better tomorrow.
Thank you so much.
