Hello Friends and Family-
I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
This year, like last year, we are riding in honor of my beloved Rory. In fact, his company, Icelandic Glacial is not only sending a team of their employees to ride this amazing race from Los Angeles but they have also joined forces as part of the Unicorn team, provided very cool jerseys with Rory's name on the back and are providing a few water stations, all through donation. It seems a natural marriage between folks that LOVED Rory Weinstein and wanting to keep his memory alive to remind us all how to live a kind, friend-filled life, in addition to providing continuous funding to stop the disease Rory passed from and to make people aware of how to prevent these diseases. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. Our team is over 30 strong, growing every year as we honor the friend he was to so many. Karen Costello, our lead fund-raiser has continued this effort to bring people together in honor of her dear friend Rory. Her love and passion for his memory and voice in the world has lead us forward in these efforts.
On May 16th, we will guide our bikes through miles of beautiful Oregon country with all of our loved ones in mind and heart that have tragically passed away. Rory's name is on the back of the jersey, but we think of all those loved and lost in our efforts.
Thank you in advance for you support!
