I ride the Clean Air Challenge because I can. It's now been 15 years since I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. One doctor told me the cancer would kill me. Yeah, really.
Well, I'm still here and always grateful. This year, riding will be more of a challenge than usual because of other health issues, which guarantee I'll be in pain afterward. In some ways, that makes this ride even more meaningful. Despite chronic pain, I'm still here and still paying it forward by supporting the American Lung Association.
I ride to honor the memory of friends and family who've died from lung cancer. I ride in support of the American Lung Association and the stellar work it does in research, education and advocacy. And I ride to celebrate my own survival.
I hope you’ll join me through a donation or by riding as a member of Team Molly and Patty. As for contributions, no amount is too small and every dollar is much appreciated.
