My dad lived with only one lung after a horrible car accident, and the doctors didn't know how long he would even live. So I think about my dad while cycling, and I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.

Thursday ride
My buddy Jamie H. lives in Wilsonville, so I'm cycling to his place for an afternoon ride. It's always more fun to cycle with a buddy than solo. We both did a group ride in Tualatin on Tuesday night, really pushing at maximum effort up Mountain Road, so today it will be an easy ride, aka recovery ride.

Welcome to 2023
I've already asked two cycling buddies to join me on Team Tualatin, so expect several more to be added before we ride 100 miles to Astoria on May 20th. We're still stuck in winter, which means more rides indoors on the trainer, yet I've got a group ride on Tuesday night outdoors with my buddies to keep in shape.
Thanks for visiting.
