Every day I wake up grateful for the clean air we breath. Together, we will work to keep clean air for all and yet, without funding, education and research will not happen to continue maintaining and improving our clean air. If our air becomes polluted, people suffering from lung cancer, asthma, and COPD such as my late husband, Sam, both my parents, other family members and friends, as well as Sweet Pea, my cat, will not be able to breath. We cannot allow our clean air to become polluted again.
Five and one-half years ago, I lost Sam, my husband, companion, hiking and fishing buddy, and best friend to lung cancer due to serving on a US Navy submarine filled with asbestos. We met when we were 13, became very close friends, went on one official date our freshman year of college, and then did not speak again for 25 years. This year, if Sam were here, we would be celebrating our 15th anniversary. Please consider a donation + 15 cents to the American Lung Association in my effort to help save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. My goal this year will be to raise $5000 and ride 100 miles. You can help me by clicking on the red "Donate Now" button. Or, if you prefer, you are welcome to join me on the Glass Half Full team and ride. We would love to have you.
