Riding for lung health and to breathe easy!
Once again, I am riding in the Clean Air Challenge in memory of my mom who died from lung cancer in 2001. This is a great event that promotes lung health, clean air, and raises money for an excellent cause.
Breathing clean air, finding a cure for lung cancer, treating and curing asthma, eliminating tobacco use, and so much more. These are things we know improve health and save lives. The Lung Association has done so much good work in Alaska including getting a statewide Smokefree Workplaces law passed and supporting raising the federal legal limit to purchase tobacco products to 21.
I love this organization and the work it does; and I will continue to ride in memory of my mom as long as I am able. Lung cancer took her from us way too early, and I want to do whatever I can to keep others from experiencing that devastating loss. Plus, we all need to breathe clean air!
Thank you for supporting me on this journey.
