I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association (ALA) to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. This year is particularly important. The ALA has started a $25M initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. Visit lung.org/cv19-action for more details on how your donation can help save lives.
This year, the American Lung Association is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Clean Air Act. This critical piece of legislation has fundamentally changed our air quality in the United States since its enaction. Many countries around the world look to the US for leadership on AQ issues because we have shown our commitment to protect our citizens from the affects of dirty air. For the last 20 plus years, my career has focused on these regulations designed to implement the statute and I have witnessed first hand how important and beneficial this single piece of legislation is. The ALA is a strong partner in this effort to stregthen and defend the Clean Air Act.
I ride this year with a commitment to raise funds for the American Lung Association so they can continue their commitment to supporting the protection of clean ambient air and respiratory health for all.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for you support!
