Cycle For Air starting line

Every Mile Counts

Join us on a mission to make a difference for everyone who breathes. We will be riding back to the coast on Saturday, May 17, 2025! The route starts on Sauvie Island and ends in the Astoria area. (Please check back for further details). There will be four ride lengths: 100m, 64m, 32m, 14m, and the option to Cycle Your Way. This bike ride is perfect as a personal challenge, an opportunity to explore a new route to the coast, and a way to stay active, all while supporting healthier lungs. The in-person and Cycle Your Way options both have amazing support throughout the campaign! We provide superb organization, beautiful routes, numerous social events, regular training rides, excellent fundraising support, and more!

Reach the Beach Oregon will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2025. Our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease is still in hyper-drive. The dollars our riders are raising are making a difference at this critical time.

Reach the Beach Oregon encourages our cyclists to stay active and enjoy time on their bike while supporting the work of the American Lung Association. Please review the details below regarding how you can participate.

  • Ride in Person: Join us for one of the best supported rides in the PNW by selecting one of our four breathtaking route options and enjoy an unforgettable finish line experience. A registration fee applies to all in-person registrants and there is a minimum fundraising requirement of $200. Incentive gifts start at $200 and will include a Reach the Beach finisher medal and 2025 T-shirt.
  • Cycle Your Way: Plan your own ride on a route and date that works best for you. There is a reduced registration fee for Cycle Your Way participants. You are eligible for the same incentive gifts as those who ride in-person on May 17th, starting with the finisher medal and T-shirt for raising just $200 for the American Lung Association.

Join us on Facebook for exciting event updates and on our Group Page for conversations and camaraderie with other Cyclists.

New in 2025: Team and Team Captain Incentives!

  • Team Captains will receive a special holiday gift and goodie bag.
  • All teams are invited to attend the Reach the Beach kick-off BBQ on September 5th.
  • Teams that raise $5,000 or more will have access to an exclusive team cabana at the finish line.
  • All teams will receive a signature Reach the Beach team colored bib and medal.
  • Teams with 20 or more riders will earn fundraising credits called “Lung Bucks” that count towards earning incentive items. 20 members = $20 credit per member, 30 members = $30 credit, and 40 members = $40 credit. Note: Lung Bucks do not count towards the $200 fundraising minimum.
