I have joined the Clean Air Challenge, sponsored by the American Lung Association. On May 9, I plan to ride my bike 60 miles while breathing, sometimes heavily, clean Alaska air. Actually, Peg and I plan to ride in the Clean Air Challenge on a tandem bike, so we can both support the American Lung Association and huff and puff together.
We often take for granted that we can breathe easily. A cold or temporary respiratory infection sometimes reminds us that if you can't breathe, well, life can be difficult. Then we get over the cold or infection and life returns to normal.
Not everyone can do this. Elsewhere on this website is information about the Clean Air Challenge and lung disease. It would be great if you could support this effort manage or defeat lung disease. Just click the "Donate now" button. If you prefer, you can download and mail in a donation form.
If you can't help at this time, that's fine. Maybe next year. Think about me May 9 as Peg and I are huffing and puffing our way up the hills. Thanks for your consideration of this request.
Let’s make sure everyone can benefit from healthy air and lungs.
Lung disease is on the rise and your donation would help fund research and provide education and advocacy efforts. One step at a time, you can help me run for a better tomorrow.

Together we can fight lung disease successfully!
