It's Reach The Beach Time Again!
2020 was a trying year for all of us, but the fight for air goes on as the pandemic continues. Let's all keep the faith that we will all be able to ride to the beach in honor of those lost to lung related illnesses and for those that contiue to struggle.
I want to thank all of you that have continued to supported me during my long association with this great ride and look to tap that generosity once again. I ride to honor the memory of my dear friend Brian Reynolds who lost his courageous battle with lung disease over 13 years ago. Since Brian's passing I have personally known several other families hurt by the loss of a loved one to the indiscriminate nature of lung cancer. Lung disease is not only a smokers disease, but one that can strike any of us at any time, so let's ride for all those that suffer to breath.
Good health is a gift that should not be taken lightly. Those of us with the gift of good health have not only the responsibility, but the honor to use that gift to help others that continue to struggle to find what we take for granted each and every day. Seems my training regimen is not as consistent as it used to be, but I am committed to completing the century however I choose to prepare. I look forward to a great ride in May and hope to see many of you on the road with me.
I will again match donations up to $1,500 in order to make sure I surpass my goal of $2,000, but it would be great if we could eclipse this amount, so please do what you can.
Thank you so much and ride hard with a stiff wind at your back!
