Portland Bicycling Club
Welcome, and thank you for visiting our team's page!
We know that there's strength in numbers, so we'll ride together fighting lung disease and increasing awareness about the importance of lung health.
Whether it's a personal fight with lung disease, the struggle or loss of a loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause, we all have our reasons for participating.
Training rides on the weekends <https://action.lung.org/site/TR?pg=informational&fr_id=23128&type=fr_informational&sid=13372> are open to everyone. You don't need to be a member to participate. We also offer club rides every day of the week, and you're welcome to join any of these <https://portlandbicyclingclub.com/scheduled_rides/> to facilitate your training -- or just for fun! This year, most of our team members will be riding the century (100 miles). Some will be doing the metric century (100 kilometers or 64 miles), and some will be completing the half-metric (50 kilometers or 32 miles). Saturday training rides will offer two options of pace and distance for riders of varying levels. Come and join us! In addition to building riding skills, we are happy to answer any questions about training.
We're making a big commitment. We'll train for our ride, and each team member is required to raise at least $200 in donations. We know that, with your help, we can do both.
Please support our team. You can make a donation to team members by clicking on their name, and you'll be taken to their personal page.
Thank you in advance for your support!
