With more time spent on the news and social media, I often find myself overwhelmed with fear, anger, and sadness, all by things that are outside of my control. In the wake of the change of leadership in our country, I am committed to giving time and energy only to things that are within my immediate control for areas I believe in. This includes things that benefit science, community health, and diversity in the outdoors. In this case, I hit all 3 by being on the Trail Mixed team (women-of-color outdoors group) in the 35th Annual American Lung Association Reach the Beach fundraising century ride. We are using our healthy lungs while we have them to benefit all of us for a time when we need it! I'm requesting your financial support to help me reach the minimum fundraising goal of $200 if you are in a position to do so. $0.90 of every dollar raised by the organization goes directly to lung health education, research and advocacy. To show my dedication, I have seeded half the fundraising goal myself.
Thank you in advance for your support!
