In 2018 my mother passed away from lung cancer. She had fought it before in her life, and won thanks to an amazing surgeon. But eventually it returned, and within 3 weeks of her diagnosis she followed in her father's footsteps who also died of lung cancer, when he was only in his 40s.
My mother had always wanted me to ride Reach the Beach in honor of her father and her own experience with cancer. So, as she was dying I promised that every year I would ride it for her.
I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for you support!
