I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.

This ride is personal to me because I watched my grandfather struggle and gasp for breath due to emphysema caused by smoking. He suffered for many years before his passing, and I have always been inspired to increase awareness about the importance of lung health. I myself have had asthma for most of my life but am able to lead an active and healthy lifestyle due to the advancement in treatments. New research and education for the public are made possible because of organizations like the American Lung Association.
