Let’s make sure everyone can benefit from healthy air and lungs.
On May 17th of 2025 I will be involved in a fundraiser for the American Lung Association.
"Reach the Beach" is a bicycle ride to help raise funds for operations and outreach.
My folks both died from cancer almost certainly brought about from smoking. Dad fought and lost eventually to lung cancer that metastasized to his brain. Mom fought and lost to liver cancer that had metastasized from her lung.
I remember that they both tried to stop smoking on more than one occasion when I was little. I believe that if they'd had more exposure to information and more support from outside, they could have stopped early enough to prevent their honestly horrible deaths.
I miss my folks...
