I ride the Clean Air Challenge because I can. It's now been 19 years since I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. One doctor told me the cancer would kill me. Yeah, really. Well, I'm still here and always grateful.

I ride to honor the memory of friends and family who've died from lung cancer. I ride in support of the American Lung Association and the stellar work it does in research, education and advocacy. And I ride to celebrate my own survival.
