Welcome to my personal page and to my 21st year of my participation in the Clean Air Challenge! These past 21 years have been a fantastic experience riding and training with my team Pedal to the Medal and working closely with the awesome staff at the American Lung Association. Now is the time to donate to our cause. We are less then two weeks to our ride!!
Our ride means so much to all of us for so many reason. Most of us ride for family members, friends, for those who can not ride due to lung issues and for our own asthma issues. We put hours and hours of training in to pedal the 100 miles to raise funds. The funds we raise help people from newborns to senior citizens all who have lung issues.
This past Jan. I had my right knee replaced. So I have been rehabbing since a few days after surgery. Been a tough year with my knee and the past shoulder injury. I am very proud to say I have been able to ride outside a few times in AZ and I will be riding in AK weather permitting.
This being my 21st year of riding I know many of you have read my story as why I ride. I ride for my parents and my husbands mom and sister who have passed on due to lung complications, other family and friends who have lung issues and my own asthma. People with lung problems are all around us. Lung disease is not just happening to people who have smoked but some of us who never smoked were born with asthma to include myself.
I am asking each and everyone of you that read my story to please donate. Please help us make a difference by making a donation, any amount you can afford to the American Lung Association in Alaska help raise money to save lives by improving lung health, and pre venting lung disease.
I am so close to my goal this year and need a few more donation to make it. Please use the following link to donate to my person page, you will need to copy the link and paste it into a new search window.
