Dear Family and Friends,
I am participating in the 2024 Reach the Beach ride, the annual fundraising event supporting the American lung Association (ALA).
This will be the fifth time I have done this ride, the first in Oregon and the last four in Washington. Last year I rode the 44 mile route from Elma to Westport. This year I'll be riding the same 44 mile route or the 24 mile route starting in Aberdeen if the weather is not being cooperative. The combination of my e-bike and my pacemaker has enabled me to ride again and I want to make the most of it.
As always I am riding to support the ALA. Thanks to the generous donors who have supported me, I have been a successful fund raiser for the last few RTB events. I am also riding to again honor Pat❤ who provided essential sag wagon (and moral) support when I rode in the earlier RTB Washington events.
I am joining hundreds of other Washington cyclists to help the ALA raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the USA.
So once again I am asking you to make a tax-deductible donation to "Team Dean" (my own invention, the Monoteam). Any amount helps and is totally appreciated by me and the ALA.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Dean Sampson
