Help me to help others!
With your generous support, the American Lung Association is fighting for air through research, education and advocacy.
I have joined the efforts of other cyclists to raise awareness of lung health throughout the area. Many of us know someone affected by some sort of lung disorder, whether it be asthma, emphysema, or cancer. Our work on the trail supports the efforts of the ALA, allowing them the ability to advocate for clean air, educate kids and teens about the dangers of tobacco, and support smokers in their efforts to quit.
My reasons for joining trek were purely selfish. I love to cycle, wanted to make a difference, and wanted to meet others with similar interests. Not knowing, this weekend would change my life forever. I met amazing people, had a great time, and came home with a purpose that I have become quite passionate about. Through this time, hundreds of children have gotten to experience Camp Catch Your Breath, tons of people have benefitted from life saving research, and countless people have had the support to quit smoking. In this time, I have also seen many lives changed by lung conditions and disease. Having to watch friends and family struggle to breathe, while we take our breath for granted, is heartbreaking.
Please consider a donation of any size, as it is a step in the right direction for your lung health, and the health of generations to come. Rest assured knowing that $0.85 of every dollar goes directly to programming, research, and education. EVERY DOLLAR HELPS!
