Riding to help make sure everyone can benefit from healthy lungs.
Thanks for visiting my page. This event had been on my to dolist for a while and not only did I do it, this will be my sixth year. This event is so well run by the organization and they have even asked me to co-chair the Trek Committe, so even more entrenched than before and they are expecting me to raise even more money. For the fourth year I have a team called, "Where There's Spoke, There's Tire"; My friend Warren from High School days on his fourth year now. We have a lot of fun but I can tell you after 100 miles, the saddle is pretty sore. It is exhilerting when you reach the end. Come join our team and ride with us. It is easy to register on the website. Let me know if you want to join and I can help you navigate.
At 60 years old, I feel fortunate that I have healthy lungs and am able to do this event. I believe this organization does a lot to promote lung health and especially anti-smoking which is the number one cause of lung disease and big on my list. My father suffers from COPD, literally struggling for every breath. As I watch him struggle more for breath this year than last year, it reminds me why I am doing this.
You can support me in my efforts just by donating. Your generosity would mean a lot to me and all those who benefit from the work of the American Lung Association.
Lung disease is on the rise and your donation would help fund research and provide education and advocacy efforts. One step at a time, you can help me bike for a better tomorrow.
To help support my efforts, and to change lives, please click on the Donate button.
Thanks again for your support.
