Hello Friends,
For the eighth year in a row, I am in training for the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb challenge, which will be held on the first weekend of May! This year, instead of a skyscraper, we're going virtual.. and we're safely climbing the outdoor staircases and hills of Southern California to raise money and awareness in the fight to overcome lung disease and Covid-19.
As always, I'm climbing in memory of my beautiful mother who passed away from lung cancer in 2014. But this year is different, as our lives have changed so profoundly. The Covid-19 pandemic has touched all of us in one way or another. As I train and climb, I will also hold in my heart the many friends who have lost loved ones to Covid-19 or have battled it themselves.
I'm grateful for all of the contributions many of you have made over the past several years. They are making a huge difference! This year, they will also go toward raising awareness about Covid-19 vaccines, along with ongoing efforts to funnel lung health resources to underserved commuities. Please consider showing your support as we aim for new heights in 2021!
Love,
Danielle
