Robb Korinke is a veteran political consultant specializing in candidate and ballot measure campaigns across California and beyond. As the co-founder and principal of GrassrootsLab, he leads client and campaign activities in California, and specializes in-state and local government campaigns, voter communications, outreach, and grassroots organizing. He has been recognized by the AmericanAssociation of Political Consultants (AAPC) for his work in both direct mail and television advertising – taking one of the Association’s highest honors for his work on the Lincoln Project in 2020.
He served four years as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles League of Cities and has worked with local governments on key policy issues going back to Proposition 1A in 2004. He is also the co-founder of CaliforniaCityNews.org, CaliforniaCountyNews.org and CalSchoolNews.org.
Current and past clients include the Counties of Orange and Los Angeles, numerous cities including Santa Ana, Santa Barbara and Sacramento, Southern California Edison, Scotts Miracle Gro Company, California Forward, California Medical Association, League of California Cities, Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians, Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, and many others. From 2014-present Korinke has been the PAC Director for the Los Angeles County Business Federation as well as the Inland Empire BizPAC. As part of this work, he has led more than 100 independent expenditure campaigns. As a General Consultant, he has secured victories for candidates across the state and at the City, County and School Board levels. He also served as Political Director to former LA Mayor Antonio Villaragosa.
Korinke has provided communications consulting to the University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy, and former Dean Jack Knott. He was also the LA market media spokesperson for the Proposition 56 Tobacco Tax campaign in 2016, making numerous public appearances on KPCC, Good Day LA and other public affairs programs.
He lives in Long Beach, California, where he is member of the Long Beach Rotary Club and served as Chair of then-Mayor Robert Garcia’s Technology & Innovation Commission. He also served on the Board of Directors of the University of Southern California Athenian Society, his alma mater. He lives with his wife Julie, daughter Annie and dogs, Waffle and Penny.
