Nicole is a current a third year medical student at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. From a young age, volunteerism and service have been a large part of her life, which is reflected in her goals to serve her community through medicine as a physician. Her passion for a healthier Hawaiʻi continues as she works with the American Lung Association as a Turquoise Ambassador.
Nicole was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. She is a graduate from Iolani School and obtained her bachelor of science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and minor in dance from the University of Washington. She was selected as the 2019 City and County Lei Queen and the inaugural Miss Hawaiʻi Volunteer 2020.
In light of the recent Covid-19 pandemic, we have come to realize how important clean air and breath can be to sustain our lives. Nicole says, “I am honored to be part of the effort to raise funds for the American Lung Association to benefit those living with asthma and other lung diseases to provide awareness and advocate for a healthier Hawaiʻi.”
