Mami Erica Ogiwara was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science & Nutrition from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Mami has actively engaged in the community volunteering with many organizations, and has been promoting her platform by advocating for health and wellness in her community.
Mami has always had a great passion for shining light on programs and policies regarding health and wellness.
“After being impacted by a pandemic that greatly affects our lung health, it was a reminder that we cannot live without breathing,” says Mami. “Iʻm honored that I can be a part of such a powerful campaign that aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with lung complications and help spread preventative measures for lung disease and lung cancer.”
