Cassie Favreau-Chung is a film & television creative with over 15 years of experience working in various facets of the entertainment industry, and currently serves as the Executive Producer for Local Serial Program at KITV4 Island Television.
A passionate advocate for the arts, Cassie has spent many years as a volunteer and performer for various local theatres, as well as the Casting Society of America. She also worked as an Assistant and Associate Casting Director on movies and tv shows for Netflix, ABC, 20th Century Television, HBO and Fox Searchlight, and was fortunate enough to be a recurring talent on Magnum PI.
Her love for entertainment also contributed to her entrepreneurial spirit and led her to specialize in actor and business headshots, as well as opened doors for her to work as a voiceover artist —where she amassed a wide array of clients and was a regular voice talent for several TV stations. Her experience working at Hawai‘i News Now as a Marketing Writer/Producer/Video Editor also allowed her valuable opportunities to connect with local non-profits, with whom she worked closely as the lead producer for the Good Things About Hawai‘i campaign.
Cassie graduated cum laude from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with a B.A. in Creative Media and Minor in English, where she was the recipient of the Grace Abernethy Screenwriting Award, and was born and raised on O‘ahu.
Lung health, specifically childhood asthma, has always been an important issue to her, as both she and her family has experienced the detrimental effects it can have on one’s life. She is grateful to be a Turquoise Ambassador with the American Lung Association.
