As the Vice-Mayor of the City of Cudahy, Jose Gonzalez bridges city leadership and the world of technology with education. Jose proudly fights and works for education, health jobs, city infrastructure upgrades and economic development. He is also the Director of IT Customer Support for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He has already enacted a new policy aimed at preventing young people from accessing tobacco. He remains comitted to a healthier Cudahy and will continue pursuing policies that protect residents. He strives to be an innovative leader who sees endless possibilities and solutions for the employees and students of Los Angeles. Jose earned his bachelor's degree in computer information systems from California State University Los Angeles.
He has led Coach’s with Educare Foundation and has been a coordinator the LAUSD Cyberpatriot Program for the past seven years, they have won three national championships. He was a part of the inaugural group of Turquoise Ambassadors in 2019. He continues to be committed to the Lung Association cause of lung health for all including the fight against COVID-19 and advocating for healthier air, especially for communities of color.
