Bryan L. Talisayan serves as Executive Director of Mental Health America of Hawaiʻi, the state’s leading mental health education and advocacy organization. In this capacity, Bryan oversees the agency’s efforts to fulfill its mission “to promote mental wellness through education, advocacy, and service” while endeavoring to reduce the stigma of mental illness and improve the overall care, treatment, and empowerment of those with mental illness across all stages of life.
Prior to joining the MHAH ʻOhana, Bryan spent nearly 25 years in an executive capacity at several Hawaiʻi Federally Qualified Community Health Centers, including Waikīkī Health and Koʻolauloa Health Center as Chief Operations Officer. Bryan also operated a private consulting practice offering technical assistance to local and national community based organizations, and is an active Master Reiki Practitioner.
Born and raised on Oʻahu, Bryan graduated from Waiʻanae High School and then graduated with a degree in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University and completed a Health Care Executive training program at UCLA.
Bryan is raising funds because as a former smoker who benefited from cessation services, he fully understands and supports the benefit of the Lung Association’s services in Hawaiʻi and the overall organizational mission.
