I am lucky enough to only think about my ability to breathe when I have a cold and my nose is stuffed. Imagine all the things I couldn't do if I were permanently out of breath; no running or storytime. Even chores like getting a full basket of laundry upstairs might be beyond me. In 2017 I'll join the Fight For Air Climb Columbus to be held on Saturday, February 18th at Rhodes Tower. The climb is 40 floors and 880 steps! I plan on training at Buck creek with a goal of doing the Vertical Mile next year.
Together, with your help, we can raise much needed awareness and funds for healthy lungs and healthy air. When you can’t breathe, nothing else matters.
That’s why I have decided to climb with the American Lung Association. Raising awareness of air quality and lung diseases such as COPD, lung cancer and asthma is so important. It helps fulfill the mission of the Lung Association, to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
With the generous support of people like you, the American Lung Association saves lives by fighting for healthy lungs and healthy air. Today, our fight is more important than ever. 88 cents of every dollar raised by our organization goes directly to education, research and advocacy.
Thank you for reading and, hopefully, for donating to the cause.
