Fight For Air Climbs are the American Lung Association’s most unique fundraisers. Climbs take place in prominent skyscrapers, stadiums or arenas and involve walking, running or racing up hundreds of steps. Sometimes called a "vertical road race", teams and individual participants can use the event as a fitness target, as a race, or as a great way to be active and meet new friends.
Participate in the Nation's #1 American Lung Association Fight For Air Climb! Individuals and teams climb all 47 floors of the U.S. Bank Center, downtown - totaling 1,034 steps! More than a run, more than a walk, the Fight For Air Climb is a unique event with an exciting challenge for climbers of all ages and fitness types.

This $33 donation represents the 33+ million who suffer from lung disease.
Those who make a $33 donation will receive these official CLIMB Earbuds (you will receive your Climb Earbuds when you pick-up your event day packet). Fundraisers who self-donate raise twice as much as fundraisers who don't.
Forgot to make your donation when you registered, but you still want earbuds? Make a $33 self-donation, then email your donation email confirmation to EventsWI@Lung.org and you will receive your official CLIMB Earbuds.
As a registered participant, you're responsible for raising a minimum of $100 to be eligible to climb. This is easier than you think! It’s as simple as asking 10 friends for $10. You can also utilize your personal fundraising page, which allows you to fundraise via email with the click of a "Send" button!

All Climbers are given start times based on their funds raised (Top Fundraisers & Summit Club Members), last year’s performance (Award Winners & Fastest Climbers) and race selection. Start times are used to avoid congestion in the stairs and starting lines.
Participants will receive their start times prior to the event via email. They will also be posted online the Wednesday prior to the event. Start times will be assigned in waves. Teams will be assigned the same wave. Waves will start at 6:30 a.m. for Ultimate Climbers and 8:00 a.m. for Individual Climbers and Teams. Participants should arrive 45 minutes prior to their start time. Climbers will climb individually on 3-5 second intervals in their wave time.
Packet pick-up is not mandatory, but recommended! You may also pick up your packet on event day before you climb. Each person must be present to pick up their packet. If not able to attend in person, in order to pick up a teammates packet, you must have a copy of their driver’s license or a printed email stating they have permission to pick up your packet. No exceptions!
Can I pick up my teammate’s packet? Yes, but you must bring approval from those climbers or a printed email stating you have permission to pick up their packet, and the teammates must have met their individual fundraising minimum of $100. No exceptions! You will be responsible for giving your teammate their packet. Please notify the Special Events Staff before packet pick-up and they can ensure all the packets you are picking up are together.
If I do packet pick-up prior to Climb day, what do I have to do the day of the Climb? If you have more money to turn in, you can do that at registration. Otherwise, you can go straight to gear check and get ready to climb. Please remember to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your Climb start time. This gives you time to check your gear, warm up and find your team.
