Characterized by Oregon's stunningly varied landscape, the ride proceeds from rolling wine country fields, through tiny towns, to the pounding surf and soaring dunes of Cape Kiwanda where a finish line beach party awaits. The waves will be crashing on the shore as the sun sets behind Haystack Rock and you relax at the award-winning Pelican Pub in Pacific City. Couch potatoes, weekend warriors and seasoned cyclists will enjoy one of four different routes through Oregon's wine country, forests, and little known towns on mostly quiet roads on . The roads are well marked making it easy to follow along the ride while you absorb 360 degrees of breathtaking scenery. All routes end at Cape Kiwanda in beautiful Pacific City at the Oregon Coast.
There are many ways to participate (see below). Many with options like - your own personal, online fundraising page where you can raise funds to fight lung disease and promote clean air through education, advocacy and research. If you aren't a bike rider, sign up as a volunteer. Proceeds from will ensure a future with clean air, healthy lungs and smoke-free workplaces.

Starting in January the Portland Wheelmen Touring Club will conduct a series of training rides to help prepare you for . Just choose a training on the list - depending on your schedule and skill level - and just show up at the stated time and location to participate in these great rides. There is no fee and no advance sign up is required.
You may register as an individual, team member or team captain online through May 15th by using the links under HOW TO PARTICIPATE on this page. You may also download and fill out a mail-in registration form (must be postmarked by or before May 1, 2017). Be sure to review the Schedule of Events page for the dates of various registration price changes (Riders) and registration cut off dates. Children being towed by an adult (child must be pulled in a Bike Trailer) are registered either at Packet Pick-up or Day of the event, for a $30.00 flat fee (no fundraising required).
