How long is the Run/Walk?
The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk is a 5K (3.1 miles).
What time should I be there?
6:45 AM: Registration opens
8:00 AM: Run/Walk begins
What should I bring?
Please bring any additional fundraising dollars you have collected and not yet turned in. If your donors would like to be thanked after the event and receive a tax receipt, make sure to fill out the donor form completely and turn it in with your donations. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather conditions; sunscreen, sunglasses and comfortable shoes. And of course, wear as much turquoise as possible.
When is packet pick-up?
The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk packet pick-up will be held at 1st Place Sports - Baymeadows location only on Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18 from 10 am-6 pm. You may also pick up your race packet in the registration area on event day beginning at 6:45 am.
Where should I park?
Parking is available throughout downtown Jacksonville and most metered parking is free on weekends.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are allowed and must be leashed at all times. At the start of the event, participants with dogs should line up behind all other participants.
Is there a registration fee? Do I have to raise money to participate in the Run/Walk?
All event participants are required to register. The cost to register is $25. All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and access to our LUNG FORCE Village that will host vendors and activities both pre and post event. Please keep in mind that the LUNG FORCE Walk is a fundraising event and all participants are encouraged to raise additional funds via online fundraising and fundraising events. Kick off your fundraising by making a $33 personal donation to make a difference in the lives of those who struggle to breathe because of lung disease. How do I get a commemorative LUNG FORCE Run/Walk t-shirt?

Who should checks be payable to and where should they be sent?
Donations made online can be paid by credit or debit card or Pay Pal. Donors will receive a receipt for their contribution, which is tax-deductible. Donations collected via check or cash may be mailed ahead of time to the American Lung Association office at:

How do I find out if my company has a matching gift program?
Many companies offer matching gift programs in which the company will match an employee’s contribution to a charitable organization. If you are not sure if you qualify for a matching gift, please use the company search tool below. The tool will provide you with information regarding minimum and maximum match criteria, as well as steps on how to get started. Some companies without a formal program may still match your gift, if you ask your personnel or human resources department. Please let us know if your company will be providing a matching gift so we can update your fundraising totals.
Is there a minimum age to participate?
Anyone can join a LUNG FORCE Run/Walk. All individuals must register as participants. And remember, kids can raise funds, too!
Is there any special recognition for people who have asthma, COPD, lung cancer or another lung disease?
Yes. If you are participating in the LUNG FORCE Run/Walk because of a personal connection to lung disease, you can identify yourself during the registration process. You will be invited to join our cadre of LUNG FORCE heroes and will have the opportunity to share your story if you are interested.
What is a team captain?
Team Captains rally friends, family and co-workers to form a team and participate in the LUNG FORCE Run/Walk. The team captain helps coordinate online registration, goal setting and also assists team members with fundraising. Register as a team captain today.
What is an official run/walk team?
Ideally, a run/walk team includes a Team Captain and a minimum of four team members. There are Corporate Teams and Family/Friends Teams.

How do I change my username and/or password?
First login to your participant center using your current username and password. At the top of the page, click on the “Profile” link. Once in your profile, you can edit your username, password, email address and contact information. Your account will be changed immediately.
What online tools are available and how do I use them?
The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk Fundraising Guide, found in your participant center, provides detailed information about online fundraising tools. As a participant, you are encouraged to set a fundraising goal, personalize your own page, reach out to your network for support using online tools, and share through social media (don’t forget to use the hashtag #LUNGFORCE tag LUNG FORCE in your posts & photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!).
Can I use my mobile device to make fundraising easier?
