The Climb Ambassador Program has been created to inspire and spread the word about Fight For Air Climb by our most loyal climbers!
The Fight For Air Climb would be nothing without the tremendous support of those who are truly committed to the fight for air. This program allows those who are dedicated to building the climb to be rewarded with special climb gear, first dibs to be a part of our events, discounts and more. It is our ultimate “THANK YOU” and climb community builder!
Climb Ambassadors are a select group that have been handpicked to represent the Climb in our community. Ambassadors earn their memberships by working events to promote the climb, participating in other races as part of the “Powered by Lungs” race team, hosting events, giving feedback and by promoting the climb within the community.
Each climber who raises $500 for the 2017 Climb will join the Super Steppers Club.
Super Steppers will receive early climb times (within their climb) and other benefits. Below is a list of our Super Steppers from 2016 that will have VIP status for 2017. The top ten are listed below.

This prestigious club is the most coveted and reserved only for teams raising over $5000 in the previous year’s event. These teams will receive early climb times for their entire team (within their climb) and other benefits. Below is a list of Summit Club teams from 2016 that will have VIP status for 2017.

Each year after fundraising events like the stairclimb and walk, your local ALA spends thousands of dollars on “benefits to donors” or prize incentives. These incentives are the gift certificates and other prizes that climbers and walkers earn while raising money in support of the ALA’s local service programs and important medical research. Many thanks to these generous climbers and walkers who donated their prize incentive back to the ALA. They are the members of the ALA Mission First Club and have truly put the mission first!
How do I join? During registration you will be asked a series of questions before your registration is finalized. Select YES to join the Mission First Club when prompted. Already registered? Contact your climb manager to see if you are already a member or would like to join.
What do I get as a member of the Mission First Club? You will be recognized on our Website for graciously donating your prize back to the American Lung Association. You will also receive recognition before, during and after next year’s climb. We could send you a t-shirt or some other prize, but that would defeat the purpose of recognizing the importance of the mission first, right?
The Fight For Air Climb is all about the challenge. Climbers and teams challenge themselves to reach the top, raise money, beat the clock, and be the best. While raising money to fight lung disease is our top priority, we know all of our climbers work hard to meet whatever challenge they set for themselves.
Select awards will be awarded the day of the climb. Additional awards will be handed out at Awards VIP Party (Date TBD). Award recipients will receive an invitation in the mail with details.
Fundraising related awards are determined after the fundraising deadline. All Award Winners are recognized at the exclusive VIP Awards Party, held after the climb.
