Join us for the American Lung Association's Bike Trek to Shakertown and experience some of the best cycling in the United States.

The Bike Trek to Shakertown is a 3-day mini-vacation on wheels through gorgeous Kentucky countryside and features an overnight stay on Sunday at historic Shakertown.

Proceeds benefit the American Lung Association in the fight against lung disease.

The round-trip route begins and ends in Harrodsburg with a Saturday overnight at Danville's famous Pioneer Playhouse.  A two-day option (Saturday and Sunday) is available and includes the Saturday night stay in Danville and a visit to Shakertown without the overnight.

No matter the level of cycling ability, there's something for everyone on this Trek.  Beginners can opt for the basic route of 30 to 35 miles each day while those wanting a greater challenge can enjoy a 69-mile, moderately hilly ride on Saturday and a 55-mile ride on Sunday.  Monday's routes will both be shorter.

THE EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FEE IS $60 THROUGH MARCH 31.  Starting April 1, the registration fee is $65.

In addition, trekkers have a MINIMUM PLEDGE REQUIREMENT.  Two-day trekkers registering by June 30 must raise $250 while three-day trekkers registering in that time frame must raise $350.  Those registering on or after July 1, must raise $300 for the two-day trip and $400 for the three-day trip. 

These pledge minimums are IN ADDITION to the registration fee.
