Donations are still being accepted - sponsor a rider today.

Congratulations on riding in Reach the Beach! You completed an Oregon cycling tradition and should feel proud…and possibly a little sore. Contact your friends and family to let them know about  your accomplishment. Be sure to let them know that your ride helps the American Lung Association search for cures, keep kids off tobacco and fight for laws that protect the air we all breathe.

Donations to your ride will continue to be accepted over the next several months. To encourage everyone to continue fundraising, anyone who raises
an additional $100 between now and June 1st will be entered to win:

  • One free ride in the American Lung Association’s Ride Around the Sound (RATS)
  • The #1 bib for RATS
  • One free night stay at a Seattle hotel during RATS

We have other great incentives that you can earn. Donations will be accepted throughout the summer, but the final date to be eligible for the incentive prizes is June 1st

Thank you again for riding and supporting the American Lung Association’s mission of “Fighting For Air”. We will continue putting our resources to work
through education, research and advocacy.

Information about the American Lung Association
We believe healthy lungs and healthy air are worth fighting for. Whether it's searching for cures, keeping kids off tobacco, or fighting for laws that protect the air we all breathe, our work saves lives every day.

Lung disease is growing at a rate faster than other major diseases: lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths. We support research to prevent, manage and find cures for lung cancer, COPD, asthma and all lung diseases.

Asthma is one of the most common childhood chronic disorders, currently affecting an estimated 7.1 million children under 18.  We provide community and school-based programs that help children and their caregivers better manage their asthma.

Big Tobacco spends billions of dollars each year to lure kids to smoke.  We educate children and teens to keep them healthy and tobacco-free.

Air pollution poses a serious threat to our nation's health; unhealthy air is hazardous to our families and can even threaten life itself.  We defend the Clean Air Act to ensure that all Americans can have air that is safe and healthy to breathe.

Our new web portal, Facing Lung Cancer: Support from Day One is designed to be a source of vital information and a place where people can connect. with others, coping with the same issues. People should never feel alone while dealing with lung cancer.
