Chronic lung disease is caused by one or more health
problems and includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Over time,
individuals afflicted with chronic lung disease can find it hard to breathe. Chronic lung disease is very serious, and it is currently the third leading cause of
death in the United States. The good news is that it is often
preventable and treatable.
American Lung Association in
Washington Respiratory Rallies are one-day educational events for people suffering
with chronic lung disease. It is open to all individuals affected by
lung disease, their families, caregivers, friends or anyone interested
in learning more about lung disease.
The day is full of inspirational messages, education, and exhibits. Lunch and beverages will also be included.
