In June 2017, for the seventh year in a row, I will join thousands of other cyclists in a journey called the Trek Across Maine starting at Sunday River Ski Area in Newry, Maine and finishing in Belfast, Maine. The Trek, in its 33rd year, is a three day event bicycling across the width of Maine traveling over 180 miles.
The Trek will raise money in support of the New England Chapter of the American Lung Association and help fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States. I will be riding again this year in memory of my mother who passed away in March of 2013, three weeks short of her 90th brithday. She had COPD a debilitating lung condition that was the major cause of her passing on.
I would truly appreciate if you could join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation in sponsorship of my effort.
Thank you in advance for your support!
